Great welcome, lovely staff. Perfect choice for us - tranquil with a great garden to sit out in. Easy access to ferry and open top bus. Excellent breakfast with wide choice of hot made to order including full English, vegetarian, smoked salmon and haddock, plus cereals, fruit etc We had a choice of time which meant service was quick. Fish and chip Friday was amazing value at £12.50 including glass of beer or wine. Had a lovely jam and cream scone in the garden one afternoon, so relaxing. Our room had view of garden was spotless with large bed, good towels and robes. Bathroom on smaller side but had bath and shower and again was spotless. Possibly but more shower gel would be good. Furniture not the newest but still good with good mirrors, easy chairs and an iron! Would definitely stay again.

We found Lindeth Howe to have a perfect combination of comfort, quality furnishings & stunning garden/views. Breakfasts were a real treat with a combination of buffet & waiter service. Management & general staff are warm & welcoming, yet discreet, & form the backbone of the hotel's success. This has resulted in repeat bookings from satisfied guests. We intend to be one of them! A solo guest wouldn't feel uncomfortable here. There is a Beatrix Potter theme, but with a modern twist, & isn't overdone. It mostly attracts couples, but there were 2 extended families, & a sprinkle of Japanese guests while we were there, which added to the atmosphere. Bedrooms are not huge but have high ceilings & very comfortable beds. The well carpeted corridors ensure a peaceful nights sleep.

Everything was fabulous! Beautiful location, comfy rooms and all the staff were friendly and great to talk to. We came for my Mum's birthday and as she used to be a librarian, the Beatrix Potter connection was what drew us to the hotel. We also loved the decor of every room from the pictures and we weren't disappointed! Walking into the town was a short and easy walk away and we loved seeing the birds of prey on the Sunday morning! Would definitely recommend and would come back again.

The hotel itself is absolutely lovely - unique furnishings all very interesting. The rooms I would describe as old fashioned but this was fitting for the feel of the hotel so not out of place. The rooms were immaculately clean with a good shower. The staff were all very nice and we felt well looked after. We had evening meal included and all meals were good but the apple crumble bread and butter pudding was definately the star of the show! Breakfast also good with plentiful choice.

The hotel is quintessentially beautiful. The decor was classic yet contemporary. The paper towels in the toilets / bathrooms were of noticeable excellent quality . The front of house , bar and wedding planner staff were excellent . The waitress / waiter service weren't quite as friendly but all seemed hard working and deserve recognition of that. We came for a wedding and the event was coordinated exceptionally well.
